I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adults and families. I have extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities who need support with transitions, behavioral assessment, work, social skill training, and community placements. I use evidence based treatments such as solution focused therapy, rational emotive therapy and behavioral therapies to reduce distress and improve psychological wellbeing for clients. I focus on assessing a client’s needs, abilities and behaviors by using a variety of methods including psychometric testing, interviews, direct observation of behaviors, in home assessments, coaching, and collaborations with other professionals. I provide individual therapy and treatment for difficulties relating to mental health problems such as depression, social and interpersonal problems, anxiety, life stressors, social skills problems, emotional disturbance, behavioral problems, bipolar disorder and transitioning to community placements. I also teach social skill groups for individuals with disabilities as well as parental support and provide home assessments and consultations in community settings.
